ANI now has a Facebook Presence
The ANI now has its own Facebook Group titled 'Australian Naval Institute' which is designed to provide a more informal communications medium between members, provide another method of keeping abreast of ANI events and the option to contribute to discussion forums. All members are encouraged to join the group (and while you are at it you might like to join the RAN Facebook Group as well).

Best Article Prize Announced
The ANI Council is pleased to announce the best article prize for Headmark edition 129 has been awarded to Lieutenant Sam Fairall-Lee for his piece on the Air Warfare Destroyer. Lieutenant Fairall-Lee has won the $150 prize with a $100 bonus because the essay deals with a contemporary issue.
All articles in Headmark that have not been published elsewhere or have previously won a prize in another competition (e.g. the ANI essay competitions) are eligible for the $150 prize. As in Lieutenant Fairall-Lee's case if the article deals with a contemporary issue an additional $100 will be awarded to the winner. The winner will be selected by the Council following the publication of each edition.'
